I’m not going to lie, one of the best parts about my job is getting to travel to new places and capture new love stories. Liz and Dan’s beautiful coastal laid back coastal chic Cape May wedding is one of those love stories that make my heart flutter when I think about it.

The Love Story of Liz & Dan

Liz and Dan met back in 9th-grade Spanish class. Immediately they caught each other’s attention and they bonded over their love for lacrosse and music taste. According to them, it was love at first sight. While they dated a bit throughout high school and college, it wasn’t until a year after they graduated college that their relationship took off. They’ve been by each other’s side ever since and now here we are!

The Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May – Cape May Wedding Venue

While their wedding day was surrounded around this idea of a laid-back coastal chic vibe, Liz and Dan really wanted the venue and scenery to speak for themselves. The Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May (CYCCM for short), is actually one of the oldest yacht clubs in New Jersey. It’s located on a stunning and majestic harbor that gives you the perfect water views and stunning sunsets. It is the ideal blend of modern and historical elements that were just what Liz and Dan wanted for their coastal chic wedding day.

The CYCCM accommodates a wide variety of wedding sizes, from 20 to 200 guests, making it incredibly versatile. Not only that, but they also offer some of the most amazing amenities if you’re looking to have a Cape May wedding. Some of those amenities include:

Laid Back Coastal Chic Cape May Wedding

I had been looking forward to their wedding day ever since they inquired. Knowing that it was going to be by the water and have some stellar views, I knew that everything was going to look absolutely stunning. That morning was spent with Liz & Dan and their wedding parties as they finished up getting ready. The light beaming in was perfection, which made me even more excited! Liz and Dan had a beautiful first look at the dock that overlooked the harbor. It was there that they exchanged vows and I’d be lying if I said it didn’t get emotional. What can you expect though? You’re pouring your heart out to your partner! First looks are some of my favorite moments to capture and I always recommend my couples consider incorporating them on their wedding day. Throughout the wedding day, you could see the beautiful color palette of ivory, and pops of yellow and blues, it all tied perfectly with their coastal theme. From the florals to the table settings and decor, it truly did speak to that coastal chic vibe they were striving for. A ceremony with water views, golden hour portraits with a cotton candy sunset, and a dance party that broke out until the sun was down. That was Liz and Dan’s wedding day. A day filled with so much celebration and love and I just couldn’t get enough.
