This July, Maura and Lucas are tying the knot at the City Winery in Hudson Valley in New York. Their vision for their wedding day? A whimsical romantic story with a *hint* of those beautiful boho feels. When saw that, I was immediately hooked. When it came time for their engagement session, they wanted to emulate those same candid and effortless feels. Maura and Lucas wanted to fulfill their engagement vision in this waterfront summer engagement in Hoboken, New Jersey. It was beautiful, epic and the best way to celebrate their love.
For their engagement photos, Maura and Lucas really wanted to focus on capturing the candid moments. They really wanted to look back at their photos and have them feel their love, emotion and connection through every image. Obsessed yet? Because I am. We started off in this beautiful neighborhood in Hoboken. As if I couldn’t get anymore obsessed with this engagement sesh already, Maura and Lucas brought along their adorable pup to join. If you didn’t know, I’m love pups (even have two of my very own). So bringing along your pup for your engagement sesh is something I always encourage. I recommend if you do this though, to have someone join your engagement session to watch your pup when we’re take some couples portraits.
Hoboken Waterfront Engagement
If you walk a bit further down the road, you arrive at the Hoboken Waterfront. In this incredibly area, you’re have beautiful views of the Hudson River and of course, the NYC skyline. Although it was a bit cloudy on this day, that didn’t stop us from celebrating their love the best way we know how. Maura wore this beautiful off the shoulder nude blush dress while Lucas kept things simple and neutral. The perfect pairing if you ask me. Read more about engagement style tips in this blog here.
The Hoboken Terminal
Shortly after, we decided to switch gears and head to the Hoboken Terminal to get a more city vibe. The Hoboken Terminal has these beautiful large windows, and tons of history which make it perfect for this type of engagement session. We ended up at a small restaurant near by where we grabbed some drinks and relished in the celebration of Maura and Lucas.
