When it comes to love and romance, I am all for it. When it comes to capturing it all? Even better. Katie and Stephan first inquired with me back in January of 2021. Blue and blush tones and a waterfront wedding venue were all I needed to hear to be completely hooked on capturing their love story. Luckily enough, we both found each other to be a perfect match for their romantic waterfront New Jersey wedding.

A Love Story

Katie and Stephan met through the ever-so-popular dating app, Bumble. I swear, apps are bringing in all sorts of love stories nowadays! It was almost instant that their love connection sparked and well, the rest was history. Stephan and Katie’s love only grew stronger until one day when Stephan finally popped the question. Carving pumpkins and cooking dinners in their PJs is when Stephan turned to Katie and asked that life-altering question. Naturally stunned, Katie said the easiest yes she has ever said in her whole life. Soon enough, they began planning the rest of their forever. Together Katie and Stephan enjoy working out, traveling, and spending time alongside the Jersey Shore. This is one of the many reasons why they chose to have their romantic waterfront wedding at Hotel LBI.

Romantic Waterfront New Jersey Wedding

For Katie and Stephan, making sure that we could capture their wedding day authentically was our main priority. We wanted things to still be romantic and soft, while still being able to photograph how madly in love these two are with each other. Trust me when I say, this was the easiest thing to do.

We spent the morning with Katie and her bridesmaids getting ready. Stephan and his groomsmen were getting ready in their suite, while also enjoying a few drinks before all of the day’s festivities. Shortly after, Katie had her first look with her dad followed by her first look with Stephan on the rooftop of the Hotel LBI. Since it was the middle of summer, the sun was blazing but because of that ocean breeze, it was completely bearable! We took a few portraits before making sure everything was set up and ready to go for these two to finally tie the knot!

Their wedding ceremony was held on the rooftop with the beautiful sounds of the water in the distance. We seriously couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. Since it was so warm, we were lucky to be able to have their reception in the gorgeous reception space here at their wedding venue. Stunning crystal chandeliers hanging with blue-painted walls really gave off those coastal vibes. The newlyweds came in, grinning from ear to ear locked hand in hand. They finally did it! Their wedding night was spent busting the moves on the dance floor, and I mean really breaking it down before heading back to the rooftop for some final golden hour photos.
