Kelly and Chris are the kind of couple that prove that if it’s meant to be, it will be. Over the years, once they met they knew that their chemistry together was fire. However, their timing never seemed to be right until 2020 rolled around. Now fast forward, and JPP had the honor of capturing their Hotel Du Village wedding. It was elegant, youthful, classic and elegant. All the things that I love and can’t wait to share with you today!
Kelly & Chris’s Love Story
Back in 2017, Kelly and Chris met in New York City through the beautiful dating app, Bumble. Over the years, their connection grew stronger but they hadn’t officially began dating until Winter of 2020. As their relationship grew stronger, they moved moved back to their home state of hey, Pennsylvania! From that point on, these two lovers continued sharing their life with one another until a year later where everything changed… for the better. Kelly and Chris got engaged at LBI and celebrated this next step in their chapter together.

Kelly & Chris’ Hotel Du Village Wedding in Bucks County
For Kelly and Chris, they wanted their wedding day to reflect the elegant nature of their wedding venue. Think black tie type elegance and class. Their color palette for their wedding day surrounded around black & white, pops of navy and a lot of greenery. These tons beautiful on their own, also complimented the Winter season which I also loved.
Getting Ready
That morning, we first started off by taking a few photos of some of the details that Kelly and Chris had brought along. This included their invitation suite, rings, floral trimmings, etc. All the perfect ingredients to a beautiful and stunning wedding flatlay, imo. Beyond that, we took some photos of the soon-to-be newlyweds getting ready. Getting ready tips for your wedding day can be found here! The “prep time” on your wedding day is one of the most important moments of the entire day, so I say to never rush the process.
First Look
If you choose to do a first look on your wedding day, I say go for it. Make sure however, that you are setting aside time in your day for this. That includes going over a timeline with your wedding planner (if you have one) as well as with your wedding photographer. This makes sure that everyone is on the same page and that it works with everything that you want done within your wedding day. Since this was a priority for Kelly and Chris, we were able to have their first look done and prioritize their wedding portraits BEFORE their ceremony. This is also important especially if you’re having a winter wedding since the sun sets much earlier in the day!
Ceremony & Reception
Kelly and Chris had their reception at the Historic Ballroom in the Hotel Du Village. Think sparkling disco balls, candlelit dinner and fresh white blooms by Peonies to Paintchips EVERYWHERE. Kelly and Chris wanted romantic and boy, did they get romantic. Their cake by Palermo’s Bakery looked truly delectable and was one of my favorite moments to watch throughout the entire day. Don’t get me wrong, I fall head over heels in love with my couples special day, but once the reception starts it is game over.
Huge shoutout as well to all of the amazing vendors who came together to make this day possible!
