Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen a TON of beautiful wedding venues over the years. From mansions to large banquet halls to the smallest of holes in the wall. For Molly and Trevor’s wedding, it was essential for them to have a wedding venue that gave off those laid-back and minimalistic vibes. They both really wanted the focus to be on them and spending time with their family & friends which is why choosing a wedding venue that would allow them to do that was so important. Keep scrolling to check out one of the most stunning Pennsylvania wedding venues and to see more of Molly & Trevor’s Terrain Gardens Fall Wedding.
Getting Ready
I first arrived at the Airbnb where Molly and her bridesmaids were getting ready. It was there that all of them were putting their final touches on their final looks before hopping in a shuttle to get to their venue. During this time this is usually when I take a few detail shots as everyone else is finishing up getting ready. Molly had this gorgeous engraved denim jacket with “Mrs. Bloomfield” written on the back and pearls along the back. This was the perfect bridal accessory and love when I see small details like this come to life. Once everyone finished getting ready, we hopped in a shuttle and made our way over to the venue for Molly to slip into her dress and head to the ceremony!
Tip: Gather all of your detail shots in a box prior to your actual wedding day. This can save you so much stress and time and will not only help you but your photographer in the long run. Items like: jewelry, rings, jackets, dresses, stationary, flowers, shoes, etc can all be details that you may want photographed on your special day!
Nearby, Trevor was getting ready with all of his groomsmen anticipating a day filled with lots of chatter, good laughs and of course… getting married. This is also a good time to remember that if you are wanting a lot of moments documented on your special day, to maybe think about having a second photographer! Unfortunately us photographers are not able to be in two places at once, so having a second photographer ensures that no moment goes uncaptured.
Terrain Gardens Fall Wedding
As soon as we all arrived to the venue, my jaw dropped. Terrain Gardens at Devon Yard is a gorgeous venue that blends together that indoor/outdoor feel that all of us love so much. They incorporate elements such as reclaimed barn wood floors, overhead lights & skylights and tons of greenery that really make the space come to life. No wonder Molly and Trevor decided on this wedding venue! It really speaks to those minimalistic touches they were looking for and honestly, the wedding venue speaks for itself. It’s almost like you are in a garden wonderland and for any of you wanting something simple, intimate and filled with life, this may be the perfect wedding venue for you.
Once we arrived, Molly slipped into her gorgeous dress and surprised her bridesmaids with a first look. To say they were shocked would be an understatement. Before we knew it, it was time for Molly to meet Trevor down the aisle for their ceremony. Molly and Trevor decided to not do a first look, so the first time they saw each other was as their eyes locked at opposite ends of the aisle. It was as if it was them meeting all over again and it was love at first sight, sparks just flew. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they said their vows and were officially Mr. and Mrs. Bloomfield – HOORAY!
Wedding Portraits
It was at this time that we were all still coming down from the high that was their ceremony. These two lovebirds had been waiting so long for this moment and just like that – it was done! After the ceremony, us and the entire wedding party went around Terrain Gardens taking some wedding portraits. We made sure to really soak in all of the beautiful decor & greenery that surrounded us. This wedding venue truly did make a statement and I’m itching for more of my couples to have their wedding here *cough cough* and invite me!
Reception
Once portraits were done, we then moved into the reception! The reception is really the time where we all can have almost a universal sigh of relief. It’s the moment where all of us can begin to wind down & let loose and just have fun with some good food and amazing company. After some emotional speeches, cake cutting and of course… Molly and Trevor’s first dance, the dance floor opened up and it was a free for all! Everyone was dancing, jiving and I may or may not have busted a few dance moves… you may never know! As the night slowly came to the end, for Molly and Trevor’s big hoorah, they ended it with a grand sparkler exit. Everyone had a sparkler as Molly and Trevor ran through and finalized the night with one last smooch. It was the perfect ending to an absolutely perfect day.
