Zach and Jason are the type of couple that proves that when things are meant to be, they will be. From the moment they met their love took off and since then they have riding on cloud 9 together. Soaking up every moment with each other as they can. As soon as I saw them in my inbox and heard their love story, I was hooked. I immediately couldn’t wait to start working with them to capture the engagement and wedding of their absolute dreams. Their Cape May New Jersey beach engagement was nothing but gorgeous water views which resulted in photos that will last them a lifetime.
How It All Started
Zach actually met Jason through Jason’s cousin, Leila. They both met in Chicago while they were doing comedy together. Zach moved to Los Angeles and shortly after Leila came to visit him. It was there that she played matchmaker and introduced Zach to her cousin, Jason. They fell in love hard and fast and since then their love has continued to grow. They’ve been together for about 5 years now and have loved every single minute of it. They even share a beautiful dog in their new home in LA, Millie!
Although they both currently reside on the sunny West Coast, their family is actually all from the East Coast area! That being said, it was only fitting to have their wedding plans made here so all their friends and family could join. They’re wedding is in June 2023 at Hotel LBI and I am beyond excited for them!
As for their engagement session, we needed to coordinate the perfect time for us to meet. Luckily, both of them growing up used to frequently visit the Jersey Shore during their summers so it made it the perfect theme for their love story. This past summer we were able to meet by the beach, laugh a bit and enjoy the beautiful summer weather. This is how it went…

Cape May New Jersey Beach Engagement
It was a beautiful day in New Jersey when Zach, Jason, and I met up in Cape May. We really wanted to embrace the coastal essence of Cape May as well as soak in all of the beautiful scenery. Cape May is known for there pristine beaches, rich history, and a lot of good food so it really was a no-brainer. That afternoon we met up at Cape May Point State Park. Inside the park, you can find freshwater meadows, ponds, forests, dunes, and of course… the beach! We walked along the boardwalk surrounded by towering trees. Jason and Zach wore the absolute perfect outfits which made taking these photos just that much more fun. The entire evening was spent running through the sand on the beach, admiring the beautiful lighthouse located at Cape May Point State Park, and not being afraid to get our feet a little dirty. While I am not much of a hot weather fanatic, I would run through the sand on the beach for them any day!
I can’t wait to celebrate their wedding day at Hotel LBI next June – it’s going to be ah-mazing!!!
